OctonionicThe TV show that's referenced, Ohanahan, appears to have been a typical Japanese morning drama. (The title is sometimes translated as “Miss Flower”.) It apparently follows the struggles of a Meiji era woman raising a family by herself.
Castle in the Sand, on the other hand, is a police procedural film, less of a whodunnit than a how-they-do-it-by-the-books, with a rather experimental portion intermixing a detective's explanation with a musical performance. I've tried to match up the lines used to the most common subtitle track I could find, with a slight amount of editing to avoid giving away the whole film.
