OctonionicThis is an allusion, both in title and content, to “Tokyo Blackout”, the Japanese title of which could be rendered “The Capital Vanishes”. A translation such as “Corona Blackout” doesn't really read well, though. The special effects for that film were by Nakano Teruyoshi, which is probably why Shou is consulted on the matter.
